Christmas with Fantastic Services
Ad in collaboration with Fantastic Services. All words and thoughts my own.
After moving into a new home this year, and leaving the comfort of living directly behind a local garden centre, it dawned on us that getting our Christmas tree this year might be more difficult than we anticipated. We also don’t drive, which means collection or even the yearly tradition of going to a Christmas tree farm to chop one down ourselves wasn’t an option (sadly my sister also wanted an 8ft one too this year and their car couldn’t quite carry the load of two…)
We have a beautiful alcove window in our new home so were also determine to get one that made our living room feel like a Scandinavian version of Home Alone. Again, we weren’t really sure how we would go about getting one that size, then bringing it home on the London’s reliable TFL services. Luckily, I found the perfect solution. I discovered the website Fantastic Services and found out that I could choose my own size of premium grade Nordmann Fir and have it delivered directly to my house, and what’s even better, have it set up ready to go and in a water reservoir by their lovely team. Of course, I chose the tallest available and decided I wouldn’t wait a second longer than the last week of November to kickstart December with Christmas cheer. Prices for a tree, stand and installation start at just £69 for a 5ft tree and up to £99 for my 8ft which is incredible considering how minimal effort the whole service was and the quality of the tree.
The whole process was so efficient, with two of their team arriving 1 hour early (when does this ever happen? I’m so used to delivery services normally arriving several hours later) and upon coming in to our house put on shoe protectors to make sure they didn’t bring any dirt in.YOU ARE NOW DEFINITELY IN MY GOOD BOOKS.
You can also book tree disposal at an additional cost or a separate service for £49, which for those living in flats and in London know all too well the nightmare of disposing of your own tree, with pine needles lining your corridors and elevators…
Sadly I wanted to wait until the 6th January to take the tree down, but our over festive Kitten decided that it would become his play toy and favourite hiding place so we had to say bye bye to our tree today!
Saying all this, Fantastic Services provide a whole heap of different services as well, which i’m definitely keen to check out, such as gardening (i’ve been struggling to plant anything in our gardens with all the spiders around) and also house cleaning amongst other things.
