A good night’s sleep with Eve
This is a sponsored post in collaboration with Eve Sleep. All words and thoughts my own.
I definitely put a lot of thought into my bedding. In fact, one of the first conversations my fiancé and I ever had was about the thread count number of our White Company bed sheets (5 years later, we are getting married!) For us, anything less than 200 was unthinkable. On top of that, I always thought that Egyptian cotton was the way forward. In our previous rented flat, our bed was horrible black bed frame with a EU King size mattress so sadly none of our lovely Egyptian Cotton sheets fit. As soon as we moved into our new house, we bought our own mattress and frame, and because it was UK King our sheets finally fit! Wahey!
Fast forward 18 months and a new house and new bedroom. I wanted to try out linen bedding for a change, so I went to H&M home and got a set of gorgeous dark grey linens. That was where I fell in love with Linen sheets and decided I would never turn back. So when the team at Eve kindly sent me their linen bedding to try out I couldn’t have been happier!
The linen is of an incredibly high quality and even after a first wash it is already really soft. It’s also surprisingly cooling during warmer nights which is really welcome, especially as we sleep with the windows closed. I'm looking forward to seeing what they are like in winter, but they are supposed to keep body heat.
The duvet colour we have is Optic White / Cloud Grey with I love because it fits perfectly with our dark grey walls. It’s reversible too which means that every time we wash the sheets and put them back on it will feel like totally new bedding.
We were also given the opportunity to try out the pillow range. Cal gets back aches if our pillows / mattress aren’t supportive enough, so we were really keen to try these out. I’ve never tried memory foam pillows before, but these are incredible. Our quality of sleep has increased by miles, so much so that we now actually struggle to wake up in the morning because it’s too sad to leave the bed. The only downside, is that when the pillows are new they have a smell that you need to get used to (definitely worth it for the comfort!)
