An Autumn Table with Murmur Stoneware
Ad in collaboration with Murmur. All words and thoughts my own.
It’s no secret that Autumn is my favourite season. From the leaves starting to turn crispy and golden, the weather becoming chillier and the spiced smells of pumpkin pie and pear tarts cooking in my oven. I love the cosiness of the season, it’s the perfect time to stay indoors and enjoy the simple things like cooking and dining in with friends and family.
I recently came across homeware brand Murmur and I have to say that I love how their design ethos completely matches mine. Their design philosophy is all about the simple aesthetic of Scandinavian and Japanese design paired with an informal twist.
Crafted in their Northern Irish Studio, Murmur’s tableware collection is hand-crafted, sourced and inspired by their talented team of designers and craftsmen from places such as India and Scandinavia. The patterns and textures are just as unadorned as their selection of colours, which makes it a perfect addition to my Autumn table. I chose the grey and the diamond stoneware collection, and instantly fell in love with the natural and imperfect shapes of it’s plates and bowls. Compared to a lot of tableware, these just feel so much more informal and effortless, the perfect companion for the everyday table.
The combination of the paired back grey with the diamond patterned option, works perfectly on my table to add a little texture and depth. The detailing is very understated meaning it’s very easy to mix and match with your existing tableware.
