Norm Architects Prime Bathtub collection

Norm Architects Prime Bathtub collection

I've always loved how contemporary and minimal Spanish bathroom designer Inbani's products are. Their recent collaboration with Norm Architects is just beautiful - a perfect mix of old and new. I've always loved the idea of having a free standing bath with a rolled edge, but there has always been something that looked quite un-functional with them and also so dated. Loving a more minimal aesthetic, I love how Norm have re-interpreted this classic style and added a modern yet simplistic twist to it. The edges look so smooth and perfectly rounded and I like the idea that it doesn't have feet - making it integrate perfectly in any bathroom.

Drawing inspiration from antique metal bathtubs with the typical rolled edge, we recently finished a new line of sanitary ware for Inbani titled ‘Prime’. The line includes two bathtubs and a sink design that is a contemporary interpretation of the antique tubs. The soft outer shape of all of the item is inspired by how the pressure of water shapes an elastic material like e.g. a filler water balloon. This natural and recognisable shape of the designs along with the soft rolled edge makes the pieces extraordinarily appealing to the human eye, as well as inviting, familiar and modern at the same time
