Knot Cushion by Design House Stockholm

Knot Cushion by Design House Stockholm

After several months of self constrainedly agonising window shopping in Selfridges for this unusual cushion, this week I finally decided the take the plunge. After going back and forth between the yellow one and the grey one (and confusion the shop assistant), I finally settled on the grey for it's classic look.

The 'Knot' is the Brainchild of the very talented Icelandic designer Ragnheiður Ösp Sigurðardóttir. It was not only the strange and unique look of the cushion that immediately drew my design obsessive attention to it, but it was also the concept behind the cushion, as it does with a lot of Scandinavian designs. After spending many evenings lounging around hugging this really firm yet cosy cushion, I find it difficult to to see that it could have one day been a leg on a teddy bear, despite that actually being the original intention from it's Icelandic creator.
